Real estate roundup: Magazine honors local housing projects

Multi-Housing News, a national magazine for the multi-family housing industry, has honored two local projects with its annual Design Excellence award.
The Crossings at Gresham Station was the winner in the Transit-Oriented Design category while North Main Village in Milwaukie was a finalist in the New Urbanism category.
Both were designed by Myhre Group Architects of Portland.
The Gresham project combines retail, residential and office space and is adjacent a Max station. North Main Village, in downtown Milwaukie, brings a mix of town homes,, condominiums, apartments and retail space to a 2-acre site.

Earth Class Mail has subleased nearly 13,500 square feet of office space in downtown Portland's Bank of America Financial Center, 121 S.W. Morrison. Steven Marcy of Integrated Corporate Property Services represented Earth Class Mail. Jeff Borlaug of NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson represented West Hills Development Company.
Gunderson Rail Services signed a lease for 10,628 square feet of office space at Albers Mill, 1200 N.W. Naito Parkway. Trevor Kafoury and Tiffany Rupprecht of CB Richard Ellis represented Albers Mill; Scott Madsen of Capacity Commercial Group represented Gunderson.
Crown Cork and Seal USA Inc., based in Philadelphia, has leased 252,600 square feet of warehouse and distribution space in the 10200 block of North Lombard Street. Marty Horeis and Arielle Scesa of CB Richard Ellis represented Crown; New York-based Building Management Co. Inc. represented itself.
Hubbard Commercial Center, a limited liability corporation, has acquired the former 1-800-RECONEX Building, 2500 Industrial Ave. in Hubbard. The buyer paid $1.7 million for the property, which includes a 10,000 square foot building and 7.18 acres. Mark Childs of Integrated Corporate Property Services represented the buyer. Aladdin Manufacturing Corp. signed a 34-month lease renewal for 40,501 square feet at the Swan Island Industry Center. Mark Childs of Integrated Corporate Property Services represented Aladdin. The landlord is American
Right Choice Cabinets Inc. in Washougal has leased 12,000 square feet of warehouse space, along with 1,800 square feet of office space, from the Port of Camas/Washougal. William Connelly of Eric Fuller & Associates Inc. represented the port.
