Myhre Group Architects: The Colony at Bandon Cove

Myhre Group Architects is designing the Colony at Bandon Cove, an 18-unit residential development adjacent to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
The development is a mix of single-family attached row houses and duplexes on a 1.95-acre site. Cedar shiplap siding is used as the primary material, with architectural concrete used to create visual interest, in a design that's intended to blend contemporary architecture with the hardy building materials traditionally used on the Oregon coast. A garden at each entry offers an individual experience in the overall landscape of the resort community.
Interiors were designed to reflect the surrounding natural environment, with a materials palette that includes bamboo flooring, wool carpet and recycled glass countertops.
Completion is expected in early spring 2008.
