A 21-acre, 140,000-square-foot, mixed-use retail center is currently under construction in Battle Ground, Washington.
Located at 199th Street and Commerce Avenue, the $60 million Battle Ground Village will feature a combination of small and large retail stores, professional offices, restaurants and cafes with a nearby residential community called The Oaks.
Myhre Group Architects designed the mixed-use center to look like a small European village. Features include a 13,000-square-foot library, a seasonal farmers market, a central park pavilion, an urban trail system surrounding the development and a children's nature park. The center was built using insulated concrete forms from Utah-based Commercial Block Systems.
The Oaks, located next to the village, features 40 green-built, one- and two-bedroom, live/work condominium units, with prices that start at $295,000.
The village is part of a larger project that developer The Gold Medal Group is calling the Battle Ground Center. The $200 million, 108-acre, mixed-use community includes Battle Ground Village, the 38-acre Battle Ground Corporate Center, the Commerce East Industrial Park and Sixth Street Station, a community of 167 single-family homes
The Gold Medal Group recently sold lots at Commerce East Industrial Park to Simonson Enterprises, JRT Mechanical Contractors, Trail Tech and Delta Computers.
