Myhre Group Architects created a conceptual design for this mid-rise custom hotel located near the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. The project was a component of a larger mixed-use development, which would also contain housing, office, retail and both surface and underground parking. The hotel would contain over 350 guest rooms on 15 floors. A large public ‘great room’ space would face the MAX light rail and give the hotel a strong street presence along the pedestrian corridor. The second-floor conference room would overlook the Convention Center and serve as break-out space for nearby conventions or private events within the facility. The hotel would cater to both conventioneers and business travelers who want easy access to Portland’s City Center.
