Myhre Group Architects was responsible for the architectural design of the centerpieces of Battle Ground Village. This new library is surrounded by commercial/retail buildings and live/work townhomes, while fronting an urban park. Intended to replace the current downtown Battle Ground library, this larger branch offers a community gathering area in the new Village. The library has the substantial feel of a mountain lodge, with elements such as wood and stone. A vaulted entry and generous natural daylighting help connect interior to exterior and the rest of the Village. Along with Battle Ground Village, the Library was the recipient of the Community Pride Design Award.
