Myhre Group Architects was responsible for the interior remodel of this boutique salon in Portland, Oregon. Perfect for a modern, open salon, the space features wood floors, a low-voltage lighting design, and custom fixtures that emphasize the modern design of the waiting and styling area. A tempered glass guardrail at the stair is used instead of traditional picket design to provide a perceived sense of increased volume in the small space. The entry of the unit was modified to meet public accessibility requirements, and bike racks were added to meet the zoning requirements for a small business. With four styling stations, two private rooms, and hair cleaning stations, the Mosaic Salon boasts modern design married to function.
